A small introduction
About FECOLART
he Federal College of Land Resources Technology, Kuru-Jos (formerly known as the Federal Soil Conservation School) was established in 1968 by Decree 12. It was initially sited at Katsina, but later moved to Jos due to the prominence of mining activities on the Plateau, which was rapidly degrading the land.
The College, which was jointly administered by the Federal Government and USAID, commenced academic activities for Agricultural Instructors in Soil and Water Conservation on 3rd March, 1969. The administrative supervision of the College was under the Department of Land Resources & Climate Change Management Services of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development until 30th September, 2021.
